Hi! I’m Ariel Asoulin, interior designer and founder of lifestyle account Glam Goals Ariel. I’m so excited to share one of my favorite tablescapes — a modern Hanukkah setup that feels elegant, fun, and full of personality.
The holiday season is always such a great time to get creative. I love using this time of year to mix textures, play with color, and bring a little sparkle to everyday moments. For this table, I wanted something that felt festive without being overly literal — a nod to the holiday without “Happy Hanukkah” written across every detail.
Discover my curated tips and step-by-step ideas for creating an effortlessly elegant holiday table.
Start With a Base
I always start with a base color — it anchors the design and sets the tone. For this table, I chose crisp white as the foundation. It keeps the look clean, bright, and allows every accent to pop. From there, I layered in deep royal blue tones that instantly bring in that Hanukkah spirit while keeping it fresh and modern.
DIY Gauze Table Runner
At center stage, I went the DIY route using soft gauze fabric that drapes beautifully across the table and flows down the sides. Then I added faux orchids — white and blue — throughout for a touch of texture and color. It’s simple to put together, totally reusable, and makes a statement! You can use this idea whether you’re hosting a dinner, styling a buffet, or just adding some charm to your home decor this season.
Pearl & Crystal Gift Boxes
I wanted it to feel holiday, so the pearl and crystal gift boxes were the perfect touch. They add that subtle sparkle and tie in the soft, glowing vibe of the entire setup. Between the pearls, the shimmer, and the texture, these pieces bring just enough drama without feeling too formal. Embrace the unexpected — mix in decorative pieces that aren’t traditionally meant for the table. Creativity brings the magic to your setting.
Menorah Details
Each place setting features a white dinner plate with a gold Menorah, layered over a bold blue charger that makes everything pop. I tied it all together with gauze napkins and pearl napkin rings, keeping the look cohesive, polished, and effortless.
The Final Look
The end result is a table that feels bright, inviting, and festive — without going overboard. It’s the perfect mix of elegant and approachable, with just the right amount of holiday charm.
And most importantly? Have fun with it. Whether you’re hosting or just setting the table for yourself, it should feel like you — stylish, comfortable, and full of heart. ✨💙
