The Home Design and Remodeling Show was very pleased to welcome design and lifestyle expert, Martin Amado to its “virtual” home improvement stage for a new series titled, “Stay at Home with the Home Show.”
Martin Amado is a celebrity designer, TV host/design expert on ION Television, and author of “One-Day Room Makeovers.” In his book, Martin includes a DIY project at the end of each chapter. He continues to spread the joy of design and DIY through many other avenues including his own social media platforms, ION TV and most recently, on Telemundo 51’s “En Casa con Telemundo.”
To make your own Rustic Candle Holder, you will need the following items. All of the basic tools you should have at home. Watch step-by-step on the Home Show’s YouTube channel, @FLHomeShows.
Rustic Candle Holder
2×6 lumber: back piece of the candle holder is 15” long; ledge is 5”
Note: Any home improvement store can cut down the lumber for you at no charge so you don’t need a circular saw or any potentially dangerous power tools
- Stain and color of your choice
- Rags
- Gloves
- Cordless drill with 3/16” drill bit
- 3” screws
- Sawtooth hangar
- Hammer
- Pencil
- Measuring tape
